Corrections Policy
How to report a problem
Please use our Report an Issue form. Include the page URL, the exact statement or element involved, why it may be wrong or misleading, and a supporting source if you have one.
What happens next
- We preserve the report and identify the affected claim, source, link, image, metadata, or technical element.
- We check the strongest available primary or authoritative sources and the page’s existing evidence record.
- We correct supported factual errors and re-run the relevant content, link, rendering, and metadata checks.
- For a material correction, we add a visible note explaining what changed. Minor spelling, formatting, or accessibility fixes may be corrected without a formal note.
Dates and transparency
We change a page’s modified date only after a substantive verified edit. We do not remove a valid correction note merely because the page was refreshed later.
Safety concerns
This form is not monitored as an emergency or crisis service. For an immediate risk to a child or another person, contact the appropriate local emergency or safeguarding service.
